2012 Build Your Box – Teaching Module
Teachers: Jeremy Walton
Partner: Kea. Copenhagen school of design and technology, Living Design specialization of BA Design & Business
Teaching module where the students use prototyping – cultural artifacts, user observations, sketch, paper modeling and fabrication construction to design and build personal storage spaces for their year ahead. The storage boxes are to fit in a given space in the ‘Living Design’ studio. Production drawings of their own box are handed over to their ‘box buddy’ (another student) for final production. So they build another students box based on the production drawings they are given. They are supplied with some materials and are allowed to exchange their starting materials with other students. Module culminates in an evening dinner, with presentation conducted in the style of dinner speeches.
